Neal M. Shorter, Sr., 60, of Pampa, died July 29, 2014 in Pampa.

Graveside services will be at 10:00 AM Saturday, August 2, 2014, at Memory Gardens Cemetery, with Rev. Jim Sinyard of The Carpenter’s Church, officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.

Mr. Shorter was born August 24, 1953 in Modesto, California. He moved to Pampa when he was a young child and had been a lifelong resident. Neal married Irma Villarreal on February 28, 1976 in Pampa. He worked for Wal-Mart Tire and Maintenance for the past ten years.

Neal was preceded in death by a son, Migel Shorter; by a daughter, Christina Shorter; by his father, Gene Shorter; and by his grandparents.

Survivors include his wife, Irma Shorter of the home; four sons, Neal Shorter, Jr., and wife Tara of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Jason Shorter, Abel Shorter and wife Meagan, and Antonio Shorter, all of Pampa; a daughter, April Seibert and husband Kevin of Pflugerville; his mother, Louise Shorter of White Deer; a brother, Don Gene Shorter and wife Cathy of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; two sisters, Judy Cloud of Mobeetie, and Tina Whiteley and husband Terry of Pampa; and eight grandchildren.
