Rick Whitehead

Rick Whitehead, 62, of Pampa, died May 19, 2017 in Pampa.

Graveside services will be 10:00 AM, Monday, May 22, 2017, at Fairview Cemetery, with Ronnie Ferguson, pastor of McLean Cowboy Church, officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.

Mr. Whitehead was born December 20, 1954 in Wilson, Oklahoma, and was a 1972 graduate of Pampa High School. He began his career at Celanese, retiring after 27 years of service, and had ranched for over 30 years. He loved being around his horses and livestock, and loved spending time with his family, and being PaPa. Rick married Gaye Hendricks on August 4, 2001 in Pampa.

Survivors include his wife, Gaye Whitehead of the home; two daughters, Stacey Whitehead and Jason Benton of Pampa, and Britny Zambrano and husband Alfonso of Amarillo; his mother, Edna Thompson and husband David of Ruidoso; a sister, Sharon Whitehead Gilmore of Ruidoso; two brothers, Phillip Whitehead and wife Jackie of White Deer, and Russell Whitehead of Ruidoso; two granddaughters, Kassidey Ramming and Brooke Ramming; and his stepmother, Betty Whitehead of Pampa.

Rick was preceded in death by his father, Harilee Whitehead; and a son, Curtis Whitehead.

Memorials may be made to a charity of choice.
