Stephen Gage

Stephen Earl Gage

June 14, 1955 – January 8, 2024

Stephen Earl Gage was born on June 14, 1955 and passed away peacefully at his home in Paradise, Texas on January 8, 2024.

Stephen was born to Rex and Ruby Gage in Pampa, Texas. He grew up in Pampa and was involved in various agricultural ventures (“Ag-Life”) throughout his schooling, such as raising livestock and competing in stock shows, with his parents and siblings. Stephen graduated from Pampa High School in 1973. After graduation he joined the U.S. Navy and served on the USS Sacramento for his country from 1975 to 1979. After the Navy he returned home and worked in the oilfield industry for about 5 years. He then moved to Amarillo, Texas and attained a degree in computer science and eventually became a Technical Engineer at Microbeef Technologies, where he made his career and retired in 2015. After retirement, he moved to Paradise, Texas. He loved the outdoors, music, and most of all his family. There was hardly ever a time he wasn’t doing something that included one of those. Stephen loved to laugh and carry on with anyone that would let him. He is, without a doubt, one of a kind.

Stephen is preceded in death by his sister and brother in-law, Cynthia (Cindy) and Will Flansburg, and his parents, Rex and Ruby Gage.

He is survived by his daughters and son-in-laws - Amanda Taylor, Leslie and husband James Chenault, Stevie Jo and husband Alex Lopez, and Katie Gage. His brother, Kenneth Gage and wife, Jan, and numerous nieces and nephews. A cousin, Eddy Ray and wife. As well as his favorites, the grandchildren - Ty, Quenton, Briahnna, Lilliayn, Aynzleigh, Brynleigh, Zaeleigh, Jameson, Alexander, Paisley, Hudson, Ezra Jo, and Sara Lee’Ann.

He is survived by Hazel, his current wife of 10 years and family.

Stephen will be dearly missed by his family and friends. His legacy will live on.
