Janet Ann Romack, 66, of Pampa, passed away on Sunday, January 30, 2022, in Pampa. No services are scheduled at this time. Arrangements and cremation are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors and Crematory.

Janet was born on February 16, 1955, in Pampa to Virgil Ray and Francis Romack. She attended school in Pampa, graduating in 1973. After high school, she attended Texas Tech University, where she earned her bachelor’s degree. When she finished college, she moved back to Pampa to work with her dad at his business, Owl’s Liquor.

Janet enjoyed crocheting, knitting, and spending time with friends. She remained in Pampa through the years and made many lasting friendships throughout the town. She loved animals and would do anything for the stray cats and dogs that came her way.

Janet was preceded in death by her parents.

She is survived by her brother, Ray Romack and wife Charla of Amarillo; step-nephew, Tony Ortega of Hebron, Ohio; nephew, Shawn Romack and wife Stephanie of Ooltewah, Tennessee; three great-nieces, Arianna, Melinda, and Layla, all of Ooltewah, Tennessee; and numerous other relatives.
