Stephen Michael Wilson

Stephen M. Wilson, 63, of Pampa, passed away May 11, 2017 in Pampa.

Graveside services will be 10:00 AM Monday, May 15, 2017, at Fairview Cemetery with Rev. Byron Williamson, pastor of First Baptist Church, officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.

Mr. Wilson was born April 10, 1954 in Harrison, Michigan, at Selfridge ANGB Air Force Base to Richard and Barbara Wilson. As a young boy, he moved to Pampa where he was a lifelong resident. He was a graduate of Pampa High School and attended Clarendon College. Stephen worked for a time for FotoTime in Pampa. He later worked for First Baptist Church where he was a lifetime member, and active in the bus ministry. He was a talented jewelry maker who specialized in using antler horns, and he was incredibly fond of horses.

Survivors include his longtime companion, Tammy Richardson of Pampa; a daughter, Lisa Wilson of Ohio; a granddaughter, Zoie Wilson of Ohio; an aunt, Anita Bell and husband John Lee of Pampa; an uncle, James “Butch” Wilson of Houston; five cousins, Lela Wilson of Houston, Shane Wilson of   Houston, Bret Bell and wife Cathey of Pampa, Brooke DeFever and husband Lance of Pampa, Brenda Brown of Amarillo; and many other cousins and extended family.

Stephen was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Barbara Wilson; his wife, Ida Wilson; maternal grandparents, Gula and E.W. Southard; and paternal grandparents, Carl and Agnes Wilson.
